Many of BirdDog’s customers are federal contractors and subcontractors. Last year the Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) released changes to recruitment outreach to veterans (Vevraa) and individuals with disabilities (Section 503 of the Disabilities Act). The February BirdDog ATS product release focuses on ensuring that the BirdDog ATS accommodates those changes and empowers customers to be compliant with their good faith hiring efforts. Changes and enhancements in this release apply to the following areas of the site; AAP Policy, EOE Disclaimer, Voluntary Survey and Reports.
Dissemination of AAP Policy There is a new feature that allows System Administrators to turn on a custom AAP policy section. It can be accessed via a new switch in the Switches section of the Account Information page in the Admin & Reports module. The new switch looks like the other Yes/No switches found throughout the BirdDog ATS.

EOE Terminology A system-wide change has been made to update any previous references to “EEOC” to the correct terminology of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) or EOE (Equal Opportunity Employer).
Standard EOE disclaimer updated The standard Equal Opportunity Employer disclaimer has been edited on jobs to reflect the VEVRAA/Section 503 changes. The disclaimer now reads “We are an equal opportunity employer. Women, minorities, veterans and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.”
Changes to the Voluntary Survey The Voluntary Survey of the application process has been modified to meet OFCCP requirements. The Survey has a new look and feel with gray boxes to highlight the selfidentification questions.
Veteran Section The Veteran section of the Voluntary Survey has been modified to include definitions of terms used in the self-identification section. This change includes: 1. Removing the “Recently Separated Veteran” and “Armed Forces Service Medal Veteran” options 2. Changing “Non-Veteran” to “I am not a protected veteran”

Reporting Changes have been made to the reporting section of the ATS to reflect the Voluntary Survey changes.
Updates to Existing Reports: AAP & Applicant Log The AAP Report and the Applicant Log Report have been adjusted to include the IWD section of the Voluntary Survey. The AAP Report now includes an additional column grouping on the far right for IWD.
