Key Maths Facts Year group expectations Year 6 Spring Term Know metric and imperial equivalences of feet, inches, pints and pounds. By the end of this term pupils should know the following facts. The aim is for them to recall these facts instantly.

Sample questions: 1. While on holiday in France, a family see the following road sign:

What can you do at home? Point out weights and measures of items when shopping. Use weighing scales when cooking and look at the measurements in grams and ounces. Talk about how many miles a journey might take. Measure their height in inches and feet. Look at the pint and litre equivalents on milk bottles.
