Part of this Duty of Care is to fit and maintain Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms. This extends to regular testing of the alarms to ensure they are operational and providing the protection they are designed to give. Building Regulations require CO alarms to be fitted to the British Standard (BS EN 50292:2013), but there are some differences in requirements across the UK. In England and Wales, CO alarms must be fitted when installing a new or replacing an old solid fuel burning appliance. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, alarms must be fitted when installing a new or replacing an old appliance that burns any type of fuel, except for cookers, and additionally in Scotland only, regularly used rooms with a flue exhaust pipe running through.

Saving The Alarm Status Report

The Alarm Status Report generated will be for the life of the alarm so far. It is colour coded to identify the urgency of any issues.

To store the report generated, the contractor can input further details about the location of the alarm and property with any relevant unique reference numbers or additional comments such as time and date.

Extract the data from the alarm to generate a real time Alarm Status Report in 3 EASY STEPS:

The Alarm Status Report can be emailed to a central location to maintain records.

Informs of any background CO being detected and the last time it occurred.
