Step 1 — Top cover
Remove the 4.76 mm Phillips #1 screw.
Step 2
Lift up the top of the mouse and pull the cover off.

Step 3 — Scroll Wheel
Gently take the scroll wheel and remove it from the mouse.
Step 4 — Support Spring
Carefully slide the support spring off the scroll wheel.

Step 5 — Attaching the New Spring
Replace the spring making sure it is placed on the right side of the wheel with the prongs pointing down.
The right side is the side without the black plastic square as shown in the photos. Step 6 — Wheel Mount
Locate the black wheel mount.
Note: Make sure that the spring hidden in the mount does not fall out.
Separate the wheel from its mount.
