Request for Rugby Ontario Referees by Non Club Affiliates Thank you for your interest in obtaining registered Rugby Ontario referees for your event. For Rugby Ontario to assist with providing referees, it is required that you meet the below terms: 1. Your event must be sanctioned. a. A sanctioned event ensures that all involved, including referees, have insurance coverage for your event. b. If you do not know if your event is sanctioned, please contact Nicole Kovacs. 2. Please provide Rugby Ontario with information regarding your event as early as possible. Advanced notice of at least 30 days is preferred. 3. Tournament fees for Rugby Ontario referees are $1.00 per minute for 15s and $15.00 per game for 7s. 4. Appointing Service Fee: $50.00 flat rate plus an additional $5.00 per game. 5. Late Requests Appointing Service Fee: $100.00 flat rate plus an additional $10.00 per game. a. Any request received fourteen (14) days or less prior to the event. b. No guarantee that we can provide referees. 6. No requests will be accepted less than seven (7) days prior to the event. 7. Referee mileage fee. a. The following amounts will be invoiced depending on the travel of the referee. This amount will be based on the referee’s address and the address of the field location of the event. b. Rugby Ontario and its appointers will try to schedule referees who reside within close proximity to your event. In the case that referees who are local to your area are not available, referees may need to be appointed from other regions and the below mileage costs would be in affect. c. Mileage costs are $0.20 per kilometer travelled for a round trip of 51km or more. Mileage will be capped at 300km ($60.00) round trip. 8. If you would like to have assistant referees (AR) appointed to any or all games, please inform Nicole Kovacs. Additional cost may be added. 9. Rugby Ontario will send an invoice within two (2) weeks from the date of your event.

10. Rugby Ontario requires a copy of your event schedule no less than seven (7) days in advance of your event taking place. This is required so Rugby Ontario can ensure the correct amount of referees have been supplied and all games are covered. a. Any revisions to the schedule can be provided to Rugby Ontario within the seven (7) days leading up to your event. b. The most recent schedule provided prior to the event will be used to calculate game fees. 11. Any further questions, please contact Nicole Kovacs ([email protected]).
