CITY OF SOMERVILLE TRAFFIC AND PARKING DEPARTMENT OFFICE OF THE PARKING CLERK
RESIDENTIAL COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DAY PERMIT COST: $35 per month
DURATION: up to 12 months
HOURS: Monday—Saturday, 10 hour duration. (Not valid after midnight)
LOCATION: Unlimited, unless otherwise posted
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Residents driving commercial vehicles for personal use without commercial decals or markings.

WHAT INFORMATION IS NEEDED?
Personal insurance policy coverage..
Copy of Somerville vehicle registration (must be registered in Somerville).
Proof of Residency (see proof of residency page for more information).
Vehicle will need to be brought to the office for visual inspection.
HOW DO YOU APPLY?
Bring vehicle in person, along with copies of needed information and payment to the Traffic and Parking office..
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Individual permits requested at the window will be processed immediately.
WHY PERMIT MAY NOT BE GRANTED...
Commercial vehicles with decals or other markings indicating commercial use cannot be parked overnight on street.
