Upward Bound (UB) is a federally funded pre-college program that helps prepare low-income and first generation students achieve their dream of going to college. Each year, UB serves 95 students from four high schools: Ernest Righetti, Pioneer Valley, Santa Maria, and Nipomo.

to attend a 6-week Summer Academy: four weeks of a residential component on Cal Poly campus to give students a "college like" experience.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year University Housing experience / Strong leadership and teamwork skills / Able to set boundaries / Enthusiastic & organized
RESIDENTIAL STAFF DUTIES Students arrive to campus Monday mornings and return home Friday afternoons. Your weekends are free! Dine with students for breakfast, lunch, & dinner Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students Foster a sense of community among students and staff Plan evening activities with students; general supervision Enforce University and program policies
