RESOLUTIONS

Deadline for presenting resolutions for consideration at convention is August 27, 2018. RESOLUTION FORMAT The introduction should begin with “BE IT RESOLVED, that...” Additional clauses should be introduced with “BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that...” and “BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that...” Instead of using “WHEREAS” clauses to explain the resolution, please include a “RATIONALE” section following the actual resolution. Resolutions must stand on their own, be of one action and cannot contain two or more actionable items. COURTESY RESOLUTIONS 150 words or less, typed, and may include “WHEREAS” clauses. DIOCESAN BUDGET PROCESS

Chapters discuss diocesan budget priorities at Spring meetings

Priorities are shared with the Board and discussed

Ways and Means receives the budget priorities

Ways and Means produces a discussion budget

The Board of Directors receives and approves the discussion budget (amending if necessary)

Discussion Budget is shared with Chapters for discussion at their Fall meetings

Discussion budget is reviewed/ amended by the Board with comments from Chapters

Final Budget draft is submitted to Convention for approval
