Restooring Yoour Traiining Databasee From Your LLive Dattabase
____ ________________________________ ______________________ _______________________________ _______________ Haviing a training g copy of you ur database is a great waay to train ne ew staff, and test out ideaas, before doing them intto yourr live databasse. Restoring g your live da atabase to a ttraining one is a two step p process: - Backup yyour current Database - Restore to a training Database Back kup your Cu urrent Datab base - Log into o the Jim2 Server Console e (Jim2servercconsole.exe). It is usually found in youur Jim2 or Jim m2 Server 2 Server Directoryy on the Jim2

If you ne eed to authenticate when n you log in, you will need d to use the user “sa” and d the sa passsword, as sett up when SQ QL Server was installed. After you u have logge ed in, go to the Backup TTab. Choose yyour live dattabase from the t databasee dropdown – in this case e we are usinng Jim_Test

In the Frrom: field, we e need to find d the backup p you Just co ompleted. Click on the Yeellow folder, go g to the Desktop p and choose e the file you just backed up:

Put a Ticck next to “Re estore over existing e data base”. Most likely you will already havve a training database an nd this will restore this new n database in its placee.
