Cut the Fabric ♦

Spray the wrong side of the main fabric lightly with 101 Quilt Basting Spray. Layer main and contrasting fabrics, wrong sides together. Smooth into place. Mark the center of the rectangle.

♦ ♦

Measure 9” out from the center mark and cut two 18” circles using the Rotary Circle Cutter. Alternatively, mark two circles using a ruler compass, then cut along the drawn lines.

Treating the two threads as one, thread the lower looper. Thread the right needle with King Tut #910. Serge a test swatch on two layers of fabric, testing and adjusting in small increments. Adjust the differential feed if the fabric edge becomes wavy. Trim slightly while serging around the napkin fabrics.

To end, overlap the stitches (do not taper off) and gently release the threads to cut a thread tail. Seal the thread ends with Fray Block and clip when dry.
