Product Application/Description
Coupler with Mated Male and Female Connectors
The Leviton Rhino-Hide 49 Series single pole electrical connection products are engineered to exceptional standards to assure delivery of high amperage power for both land based and offshore oil rig pumps and motors. These devices are designed for distribution of 1000 Volts AC or DC power up to 1135 Amps continuous duty. Rhino-Hide connection products are intermatable and compatible with other manufacturers’ single pole products and can easily accommodate retrofit applications. Plugs, connectors and receptacles are color coded for visual identification of circuit and phase connections. Male connectors and receptacles are used on the power side of the circuit for connection to portable cable. Female connectors and receptacles are used on machine or motor side of the circuit for connection to portable cable. Male and female contacts are designed for specific cable sizes ranging from 313 MCM through 777 MCM. FCI/Burndy and Thomas & Betts crimping presses provide excellent crimps. Contact and Crimping Die Tables appear on page 6. Other manufacturers’ compatible dies and crimping presses may also be used. Coupler with Female Connector

This material is soft to the touch, UV and ozone resistant to maintain performance over life of product in harsh environments and is flex fatigue resistant.
