RIEDC in 2008 The REF supports renewable energy projects, boosting the state’s renewable energy supply and accelerating green-sector job growth EDC has committed funding to United Natural Foods, Town of Jamestown feasibility study, Portsmouth’s new wind turbine, CRMC’s SAMP Funds balance is now about $4 million - Funds are collected from RI ratepayers through surcharge on electricity - Prepared to distribute about half of the balance early this summer Four project categories - Affordable housing - Municipal projects - Feasibility studies - All other renewable energy projects
