Drop-In Activities for all Students Timeline Challenge Richmond Archives (entrance by Library doors), 9:30am-2:30pm

Take the Timeline Challenge for a chance to win a cool prize. Grab a worksheet and get to know Richmond through its photographs.

A kick-off to two days of Heritage Fair fun.

Quilting is considered one of the oldest types of art. Come see how it’s done by our Quilting Expert, Audrey Page.

Crossword Challenge Richmond Museum, 9:30am-2:30pm

Grab a worksheet at the front of the Museum and explore The Cutting Edge: A History of Technology and Richmond exhibit. Drop off your completed worksheet in the entry box for a chance to win a cool prize!

Cannery Crafts Rotunda, 9:30am-2:30pm

Learn how to lure a salmon and make your own colourful fishing hook. Want more of a challenge? Create your own unique salmon can label and you could win free entry into the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.

Library Scavenger Hunt Library – Kids Place Librarian’s Desk, 9:30am-2:30pm

Grab a worksheet from Kids Place and get to know Brighouse Library. Drop off your completed worksheet in the entry box for a chance to win a cool book prize!

Toys Unplugged Rotunda, 9:30am-2:30pm

Come learn what kids did for fun before there was electricity with the Delta Museum. Try your hand at some old fashioned games and toys and even make your own toys to take home with you.

Drop-In Activities for all Visitors Greetings in Tagalog Rotunda, 10am-12pm

Learn about the Philippines while making greeting cards and learning a few phrases in Tagalog, the language of the Philippines.

Let’s Make a Medicine Bag

Britannia Boatbuilders

Rotunda, 10am-2:30pm

Coast Salish Cultural Interpreter Roberta Price will share the historical teachings of the medicine pouch. Learn how to create your own medicine pouch.

Britannia Boatbuilders Plaza, 10am-2:30pm

Put your building skills to the test and put together a wooden model of a gill-netter fishing boat to take home, presented by Britannia Shipyard, National Historic Site.

Kids Animation Workshop Media Lab, 12-3pm

Filmmaker Jeff Chiba Stearns will host a dropin animation workshop, presented by Reel 2 Real.

Outstanding Heritage Fair projects will be recognized with National, Provincial and Regional Awards. The 2011 Richmond Heritage Awards will also be presented.
