Specifically designed for use on rail, the RR14 has a host of unique features to provide fast and safe access for rail and road maintenance crews. For example, it even comes standard with two diesel engines to ensure it is never stranded.

RR14
One of the most amazing design features of the RR14 is it’s self levelling turret. The turret automatically levels the boom on inclines of up to 8˚ and the oscilating axle ensures all four wheels maintain contact with the rails.
The RR14 is the only self propelled boom lift specifically designed from ground up for use on rail. Not only is it design registered in Australia to AS1418-10 and with RailCorp NSW, ARTC, PTA WA, Aurizon Qld, etc., it is also fully compliant with the European EN280 and RIS PLT-1530 railway standards. They are currently in service with British Rail and have been tested and approved by the UK vehicle acceptance body. Monitor Industries Pty Ltd

Designed for railway maintenance and overhead line works. Can travel under live OLE and operate on 40m radius. A key interlock enables the RR14 to safely travel under live overhead lines without the risk of accidental elevation.
The RR14 in action! Strong. Reliable. Dependable.
The extra large basket has a SWL of 300kg on standard gauge rail and 230kg on narrow gauge. Purpose built for rail use it comes complete with slide out top rail sections and work lights.
All controls are clearly identified and easy to use. A lockout is fitted to allow operations beside an adjacent rail line open to rail traffic.
The RR14 is a very solidly built machine with no shortcuts in the design. Even the rail wheels have their own brakes so as not needing to rely on the tyres for braking when on rail.

The hydraulic fly-jib and 180˚ basket rotation affords excellent flexibility in difficult locations.
A tow-hitch and wiring for trailer lights are included as standard on the RR14. All lights automatically change in colour when the machine drive changes direction.
With a horizontal outreach of 9 metres, the RR14 will take you to the hardest-to-reach areas. The self-leveling boom guarantees safety, allowing the machine to drive whilst elevated, including on uneven rail tracks!

The RR14 is not a modified machine. It is purpose built for work on rail, and as such is very safe and stable in all situations.
With powerful 4 wheel drive locking diffs,and an oscilating axle, the RR14 easily drives over balast and sets up on rail with a minimum of fuss.
The RR14 is fully compliant on the ground. All tyres are solid filled to eliminate the possibility of a puncture. Whilst on the ground the RR14 provides an unrestricted working envelope at the full basket capacity of 300kg. Monitor Industries Pty Ltd
The long telescopic boom provides excellent horizontal outreach, even at ground level, allowing the operators to access all areas as required.
