ROBBERY Race: Hispanic Gender: Male Clothing: Black baseball cap, black t-shirt with large white skull, blue jeans, dark blue bandana covering face Suspect vehicle: early 2000’s Toyota or Nissan, faded or oxidized paint, dirty in appearance, rear tinted windows
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for armed robbery. On May 18th, 2016 at about 10:00 am, the suspect depicted above entered the Azteca Market at 2801 Weedpatch Highway, north of Lamont, with a second suspect. The suspects attempted to rob the store and the second suspect brandished a handgun at an employee who was also armed and fired several shots at the suspects. The suspects then fled the store on foot and fled the area in the suspect vehicle. If anyone has information on this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
