ROBYN (BOBBIE) KULP ‘64

Robyn (Bobbie) Kulp ' 64 received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Philosophy from Cedar Crest College in 1964. She was the starting goalie for our field hockey team, winning countless conference, school and defensive awards. Robyn also played archery, basketball, lacrosse, softball and tennis amassing 250-, 500-, 750- and 1,000-point awards. She was an excellent student, teammate and friend to all. Upon graduating, she continued in a successful athletic career playing goalie for the U.S. Field Hockey Team, right defense wing for all-Philadelphia lacrosse, and was a semi-pro fast pitch softball catcher. Robyn remained a player-coach, coach and fast pitch umpire until 1994. After retiring from these activities she continued to coach co-educational Little League baseball in NW Philadelphia until 2004. In the 1970's she was also a USTA professional tennis umpire. Robyn went on to earn an M.S.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Her impressive athletic career and continued support to Cedar Crest College Athletics stands out among our athletic alumnae and we are proud to induct her into the 2014 Hall of Fame.
