Cutting Instructions Please note: all strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted. From the Bowling - Pink (A), cut: • (2) 11 ½” diameter circles. From the Dancing Couples - Red (B), cut: • (2) 11 ½” diameter circles. From the Poodles - Pink (C), cut: • (2) 11 ½” diameter circles. From the Dancing Couples - Blue (D), cut: • (2) 11 ½” diameter circles. From the Bowling - Grey (E), cut: • (1) 11 ½” diameter circle. From the Foods from the 50’s - Ecru (F), cut: • (2) 11 ½” diameter circles. From the Dresses and Shoes - White (G), cut: • (1) 11 ½” diameter circle. From the Neon Signs - Black (H), cut: • (11) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (31) 2” x 12 ½” strips. From the Polka Dot - Red Grd/Blk Dot (I), cut: • (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (20) 2” squares. • (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding. From the Polka Dot - Blk Grd/White Dot (J), cut: • (12) 3” diameter circles. From the Things from the 50’s - Black (K), cut: • (2) 6 ½” x 58” LOF strips. • (2) 6 ½” x 56 ½” WOF strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed. From the Starlet - White on White (L), cut: • (4) 12 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into twelve 12 ½” squares. • (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 56” strips. • (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 44 ½” strips. From the Poodles - White (Backing), cut: • (2) 64” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 64” x 78” back.
Rock Around the Clock Sewing Instructions 1. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about 1/8” outside the drawn lines. 2. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. 3. Refer to Figures 1-7 to arrange and press the twelve 11 ½” diameter circles onto the twelve 12 ½” Fabric L squares. Press the twelve 3” diameter Fabric J circles onto the 11 ½” circles, centered on the center hole. 4. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make twelve Record Blocks. L

7. Sew the (5) sashing strips and (4) rows together, alternating them, to make the quilt top. 8. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 56” Fabric L strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 44 ½” Fabric L strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 9. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 58” Fabric K strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 56 ½” Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 10. Layer and quilt as desired. 11. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric I strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. 12. Bind as desired.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.) 6. Sew (4) 2” x 12 ½” Fabric H strips and three assorted Record Blocks together, alternating them, to make one row. Repeat to make four rows total.
