Rock Wall PROGRAM OVERVIEW Intramurals at the Rock Wall is a four-session program fostering community through fitness, fun, mild competition through various skill building exercises and games at the Rock Wall located in Palladium Athletic Facility. Individuals sign up for an hour time-block via IM Leagues to be placed on team. Teams range in size for 8 to 15 members. Each team will meet at the Rock Wall during their designated day and time. Rock Wall Staff will serve as instructions and referees. This program is designed as an instructional and activity-based offering for all levels of climbers (novice to advanced). LOCATION The Rock Wall is located in the Cardio Room on the Lower Level of Palladium Athletic Facility, in Palladium Hall (140 E 14th St, New York, NY 10003). GENERAL REMINDERS  Please arrive about 10 minutes early to sign in and check out your climbing shoes and harness. If you have your own climbing shoes, chalk bag, and harness, you are welcome to bring them with you. We will use the belaying devices at the Rock Wall, you do not need to bring your own GriGri and/or ATC.  Please wear clothing that allows for movement and flexibility. Please do not wear jewelry or jeans. We recommend athletic pants, capris, or long shorts. We also recommend that you bring a water bottle with you.

Rock Wall POSTED ROCK CLIMBING WALL RULES: 1. Patrons are not allowed to tighten holds or use tools for any reason. Patrons may advise on routes/programs, but RCW staff must be the ones to perform the work. 2. Patrons may not climb on the top rope wall or the bouldering wall when the wall is closed. 3. All bags must be stored in lockers before climbing. Patrons may place small items in the cubbies along with their shoes. 4. Proper attire must be worn at all times: 5. No jeans or jean shorts. 6. Patrons are prohibited from wearing rings, jewelry, and watches so that their items do not get damaged by the wall. 7. Proper footwear must be worn at all times. Patrons may not belay barefoot. 8. Patrons may not self-belay. 9. Patrons may not lead climb. 10. Patrons must not be sitting while belaying. 11. Patrons may only use Gri-Gris to belay. No ATCs may be used by patrons at any time. 12. A time limit may be enforced by RCW staff when climbing in order to accommodate other patrons. 13. No bouldering at any time without a spotter. Please ask staff to spot before climbing. 14. Staff members may not give out band aids, tape, or first aid to climbers. 15. Only staff members are allowed behind the desk for any reason. 16. Patrons must follow staff instructions at all times.
