The Rockhurst University Men’s Lacrosse team just finished their inaugural season. Comprised of players from within the Midwest region, such as Kansas City, Saint Louis, Nebraska and Colorado, as well as players as far away as California and Canada, the Hawks jumped in head first at the Division II level. Despite their inexperience, Rockhurst managed to win two games against NCAA opponents and made monumental improvement from the first day of fall ball to the last day of spring practice. This group of student-athletes set the FOUNDATION of what Rockhurst lacrosse is with their work ethic and character. This 2014-2015 year sees 23 incoming freshman and transfer players to add to the program. Of the incoming players, there are four high school All-Americans, 13 All-State players, 19 All-Conference players and 8 State Champions. With last year’s team of character, leadership and work ethic, combined with this year’s incoming talent, Rockhurst is looking forward to making its INTRODUCTION to the DII level.
