RPSA invites applications from qualified individuals to apply for the position of Canoeing Instructor. RPSA is located in Rocky Point Park, walking distance from the Skytrain. RPSA hosts large groups of school students throughout the spring (May-June) in a variety of programs, including canoeing. Key Responsibilities: • •
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for spring and summer programs that incorporate water safety, basic canoeing and the history of Port Moody and Burrard Inlet. Maintain the cleanliness of the boat bay in addition to ensuring that the coach boats and canoes are in a good working condition.

Ability to work independently Ability to act as a positive role model Excellent communication skills Experience working with children Emergency First Aid certification Paddle Canada, Canoe and Kayak Canada or Recreational Canoe Association certification by the time of employment Criminal Record Check by the time of employment Pleasure Craft Operators Card (asset) Coach Boat Safety certification (asset) Sailing experience (asset)
