ROHAN QUILTERS
JUNE 2017
PAU L A W O O L F Paula Woolf was born in Jacksonville, FL and met her husband Rick while she was in high school in Atlanta GA. They dated while she was in nursing school and he was finishing his degree at Georgia Tech and MBA at UM. They married in 1967 and moved to California in 1968. Rick left for Vietnam with the USN and Paula worked as a nurse. They returned to the Miami, FL area in 1970 and had two children a boy and a girl. They stayed there for 40 years. Paula worked as a cardiac nurse and did some home health care. Rick is still working as a Financial Advisor based out of Boca Raton. Paula and
her husband moved to Osceola Hills at Soaring Eagle here in The Villages a year ago after living in Fort Lauderdale area for 15 years. Paula began quilting many years ago. Her start began from classes at the Bernina store where she bought her sewing machine. She thought quilting looked very intriguing. Paula continues to quilt by making gifts for new babies, new homes and charity quilts. Paula has three machines that she uses. The Bernina 1260 is 35 years old! She also has a
Babylock Destiny which quilts and embroiders. The third machine is Babylock Evolution Serger. Paula doesn’t have a favorite pattern. She more enjoys the free form and modern quilts. Paula has other hobbies that include playing Mahjongg, reading and a lot of machine embroidery. She loves to travel frequently and will go almost anywhere. Paula shared that if it is over 75 degrees outside …. she is inside as she doesn’t like the heat! Paula Woolf Quilt

Sue Pawlowski Trunk Show at Guild Meeting June 6, 2017 “My
name is Sue Pawlowski and I am the quilter behind Jack Squares Studio. I have been quilting for about 21 years and haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I guess that means I am hooked. A couple of years ago, I decided
to try my hand at writing quilting patterns. It has been an interesting journey with a huge learning curve. My goal is to create patterns that make you really happy. After all, isn’t that why we do this thing called quilting?!!”
The Guild meeting is Tuesday June 6th at Laurel Manor. Doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00pm. Wear your name tag to be entered in a drawing. 50/50 raffles available for sale.

I overheard my UFOs the other day. "Yeah, remember me? You bought all the fabric and book and special tool to make me. Why aren't you working on me???? Too lazy? Think you have more important things to do? Well, how do you think that makes me feel? It's not just all about you." (My UFOs are very vocal)
Thanks Lin for sharing.
