Steers in the 280350kg range reached 186c/kg and averaged 169c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 167c/kg and averaged 158c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 172c/kg and averaging 166c/kg. Mackay & Mackay, Hereward, Longreach, sold Santa steers to 190c/kg for 270kg to return $514/head. The Santa heifers made to 148c for 173kg to return $257. J & F Hamilton, Longreach, sold Charolais-cross steers to 184c for 347kg to return $640. S Kidman, Naryilco Station, Tibooburra, sold Santa-cross steers to 180c for 240kg to return $432. The Santa-cross heifers topped at 147c for 440kg to make $647.
