Roma Store Sale March 11, 2014 Roma heavy feeder steers return 187c/kg A total of 6900 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday. Weaners under 220kg topped at 189c/kg and averaged 159c/kg, while weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 181c/kg and averaged 157c/kg. Steers in the 280350kg range reached 186c/kg and averaged 163c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached 184c/kg and averaged 170c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 187c/kg and averaging 175c/kg. The 4th Annual Watkins & Co’s Braford Infused Sale was held in conjunction with the Roma Store Sale. Total Braford heifers penned to 168 head and averaged 149c/kg and $462/head. Total Braford steers to 199 head of 166c/kg and $460.
