Separates vegetable matter and debris from water so water can be reused.
This system separates vegetable matter and debris from waste water so the water can be reused. This reduces fresh water consumption. Using this system can also reduce your waste disposal costs. When water is removed from waste, the waste weighs less and may be cheaper to dispose of. Dirty water is fed into a rotating drum via an infeed pipe or flume. The drum is made from perforated sheet (aperture 2mm - 6mm) or wedgewire screen (aperture 0.2mm - 2mm) to allow water to pass through. For effective debris removal, it is best to have an aperture from 1.5 to 2mm. Water is collected underneath the rotating screen in a catchment tray or tank. Debris stays inside the screen and is carried to the waste chute by flights inside the drum. Drum speed can be set to suit your conditions. A tank and pump can be provided to collect and redistribute filtered water.
