Beautiful, Brave, and Bold. Journey Through the Life of a True Wanderer and Nature Lover
Born and raised in Guelph, On, Emily Ann Santi is a force to be reckoned with. Behind the camera lens, she can create magic. Taking pictures from a young age, she knew that this was her calling. After she was done school, she knew she needed more from life and packed up her few belongings, and headed out west. Knowing next to no one, Emily spent her time exploring. She would go down the road less travelled as often as she could. Climbing mountains, hiking forests, visiting beaches, she has done it all. All the while, she would never leave home without her camera in tow. Cool, contemplative, and serene, this world suited the beautiful but shy and introverted Ontario native. The mountain life spoke to her so much that she permanently tattoed the image on her lower arm. She enjoys the simple things
in life. Give her a solid pair of hiking boots and a thermos of
“This world suited the beautiful but shy and introverted Ontario native” coffee, and she will be so immersed in the landscape she will not even realize that it is starting to get dark outside. Some of her absolute favourite spots include Tofino, Lynn Valley, and at the very top of the treacherous climb to the Gross Grind. The
sky is truly the limit. Recently, she became a mama to Hank, an adorable German Pointer, to have as her constant travel companion. She feels that hank was the final puzzle piece to her happy life in the West. Although she is quiet, she is contemplative, observant, and making a connection between herself and location that she finds herself in that given day. She explains that she is incredibly grateful every day that she is able to surround herself with such natural beauty and wonder to capture on camera, but also to cature within her mind and heart. Emily Santi is a true and genuine soul, who pours her creativity, compassion, and talent into everything that she does. She is going to do absolutely great things with the life journey that she has ahead of her, that I am sure of without a shadow of a doubt.
Take a Peak: Cabin Culture 5 Cozy Cabins for a B.C Getaway While many people think of summer as cabin season in BC, a hideaway in the woods
is attractive any time of year. When you need to bundle up to go outdoors, holing up in a cosy cabin with nothing to do except read or chat by the fire with a glass of wine or a steaming hot chocolate can be very appealing.
Even a rustic cabin can feel luxurious when reached after a long hike. Whether you’re
(that’s free!) to a pampering retreat. Located at the halfway point of the Sunshine Coast
up for a hearty outdoor adventure or just a stroll along a windswept beach, chilly weather makes the hunkering down afterwards that much sweeter. Here are 5 options for a snug cabin retreat in BC, ranging from basic warm
trail. this hut is worth the multi-day hike. The fully winterized cabin has a pellet stove that keeps things cosy. It sleeps 10 hikers on a shared basis. By: Carolyn Ali Photos: Emily Santi
TOUR TOFINO BREWERIES Our brewery was built around a few basic ideas: brewing great beer, being a positive addition to our town and operating in a sustainable and locally focused manner. We’ve developed a water recovery system that allows us to recapture all of the water used in the heat exchange process, for use in subsequent brews. Purchase 1.89-litre, reusable, refillable glass bottles at the brewery. Come by the brewery any time and refill your growler with the freshest beer around. Recycling’s never tasted so good. All of our spent grain is saved and donated to the Sunnus family farm located in Yellow Point (south of Nanaimo) where it is used as livestock feed.
