The RW Protect Insulated Premium Bag kept ice cream at a more constant temperature even though multiple stops during the day allowed hot air to rush into the truck. The RW Protect Insulated Premium Bag eliminated the need to use dry ice while transporting ice cream in a 0°F environment. The RW Protect Insulated Premium Bag acted as a safety net to prevent damage of product on its way to the customer.
Scope: We tested the change in temperature of a 3-‐gallon tub of ice cream stored inside the RW Protect Insulated Premium Bag during transportation in a 0°F freezer compartment of a trailer. The RW Protect Insulated Premium Bag did not have dry ice in it. Using temperature-‐monitoring probes we charted the temperature every hour for 10 hours and discovered that after multiple stops the product maintained a consistent temperature.
