All staff at Accent Group received £500 bonus instead of a pay award in 2012 2. Keith Exford’s total salary has gone up by 2.53 per cent (note that percentage increase and decrease figures shown in the table have been rounded to the nearest whole per cent). Mr Exford’s 2.53 per cent increase is in line with the rate applied to all staff and less than the retail price index 3. Harj Singh’s bonus is the final payment of a contractual annual bonus. This individual contractual arrangement is now closed 4. Arena HA became part of part of Your Housing Group in April 2012 5. Matt Cooney joined Asra at the beginning of June 2010. The previous chief executive was Atul Patel. The figures shown for 2010/2011 reflect the equivalent for a full year’s salary 6. Bjorn Howard’s remuneration was set in 2008 and remained unchanged until April 2011, at which point it was set at the average for chief executives of comparable housing organisations 7. Mick Kent has a company car. This is not reflected in his total salary figure 8. A bonus scheme was introduced for all City West Housing Trust staff in 2011/2012. The payment for 2011/2012 was made in June 2012 after performance information had been verified 9. Curo was formerly called Somer Housing Group. Victor da Cunha took over as chief executive on 11 April 2011. The figures for 2010/2011 relate to the salary payable to the post of permanent chief executive 10. Peter McCormack’s 2011/12 total salary figure includes a £7,895 bonus deferred from 2010 and taken in October 2011 11. Chan Kataria’s salary was reviewed by East Midlands Housing Group’s board at the beginning of this year and has been increased to reflect a 45 per cent growth in stock numbers and increased turnover as a result of Three Valleys Housing joining the group 12. Fabrick Group also has 483 garages, commercial units and market rented properties 13. A breakdown of Brendan Sarsfield’s total salary figure was not made available. may have received have not been considered for the table Top 10 bonuses 19. Bill Payne left Metropolitan in December 2011 and Peter Cleland took over as interim chief executive in January 2012. The information provided for Mr Payne is the equivalent of a full year’s salary 20. Tom Murtha retired at the end of the financial year 2011/12. Ruth Cooke is how chief executive of the housing association 21. Tom Titherington left Network Housing Group on 31 March 2011 so figures for 2011/12 reflect a full year’s salary for Helen Evans. Ms Evans was interim chief executive from April 2011 until being confirmed as permanent in September 2011. A breakdown of Ms Evans’s total salary figure was not made available. This means details of any bonus she may have received have not been considered for the table Top 10 bonuses 22. North Hertfordshire Homes also owns commercial, shared ownership and supported housing properties, which are managed by other organisations 23. Andy Orrey waived an award of a salary increase in April 2011 24. Mick Sweeney had the use of a lease car in 2010/11 the cost of this was not reflected in his total pay figure. 25. RCT Homes is a new entrant in the chief executive salary survey, however, the housing association also provided figures for 2010/11 26. The increase in David Done’s salary is mostly due to an increase in the bonus element of his pay in 2011/12. This is largely the result of a corporate bonus awarded to all employees, rather than an individual bonus for Mr Done 27. Deborah Shackleton retired in December 2011. As Ms Shackleton was chief executive for the majority of 2011/12, her details have been included in this year’s survey and are the equivalent of a full year’s pay. Ms Shackleton received a £10,000 bonus which had been deferred from 2008/09 in 2011/12 – this is included in her 2011/12 total pay figure. Carol Matthews took over the role of chief executive in February 2012. Her basic salary in 2011/12 was £175,000 and her car allowance was £7,474 per year 28. Symphony Housing Group was formed on 1 April 2011 as the result merger of Contour Housing Group and Vicinity Housing Group, both of which were listed separately in previous chief executive salary surveys 29. Together Housing Group was formed on 1 April 2011 as the result of a merger between Trans-Pennine Housing, Chevin HA and Prospect Homes, all of which have been listed separately in previous chief executive salary surveys 30. Kevin Dodd did not take his full salary entitlement in either 2011/12 or 2010/11. Wakefield & District Housing does not pay bonuses to its directors or its chief executive 31. Nobody gets paid bonuses at Waterloo Housing Group. A company car is provided to David Pickering – this is not reflected in his total pay figure 32. Pat Brandum took over as chief executive of WM Housing Group in July 2010. The total given for 2010/11 reflects a full year’s pay 33.
