Dale Peak on the left is visable at the beginning of the trail. The peak on the right is a false peak you climb before arriving at Dale Peak. Hike questions:
[email protected] The trail starts on the left side of the restrooms and heads southwest and empties to a dirt road, hike the road. You arrive to the first steep hillside at a half mile into your hike. The trail heads straight up the first hill. As you make your way up, watch for a trail on the right side and take this bypass trail. This section is less steep and takes you around to the main trail quickly. From here the trail goes over a series of rolling hills to the base of Dale Peak. At 2 miles you arrive at the base of Dale Peak. This hard section is straight up the mountain in loose shale and dirt, so watch your footing as you climb. When you reach mountain mahogany trees you think your’re at Dale Peak, but it’s a false peak. The trail continues south on the ridgeline for about a quarter mile, with terrific views of Parleys and Emigration Canyons to Dale Peak. On top of Dale Peak you are rewarded with spectacular views in every direction. Your next big decision is where it sit for your lunch view. Take your time on top and enjoy!
