Step 1 — Take Out the Fan



Unscrew the three 2.4 mm screws holding the heat sink in place.



Unscrew the two 4.7 mm screws near the fan.



Unplug the fan from its power supply.

Step 2 — Remove the Old Fan



Push the wires around the fan to the side. Make sure not to loosen any from their positions around the insides of the laptop.



Remove the old fan.
