BAT RULE ADDENDUM FOR 2016 BEAT THE HEAT BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

      For    the      2016      Beat      the      Heat      Youth      Baseball      Tournament      we      will      add      an      addendum         for    this        years        tournament        regarding        bats   in   the   12U   to   8U   age   divisions.          The      current      bat      rule      below      will      be      in      effect,    but      we      will      amend       the      rule      to  state:         CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL DIVISION The bat may not exceed 33"in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2¼" in diameter. Only 2¼ and (addition of 2 5/8") barrel non-wood bats marked BPF 1.15 will be allowed. Wood 2¼" barrel bats are allowed. AMENDED BAT RULE FOR 2016 BEAT THE HEAT TOURNAMENT     2-­‐5/8”  Barrel  bats  will  be  legal  in  all  divisions  12u-­‐8Uof  the  2016  Beat  the  Heat   Tournament  as  long  as  they  are  marked  BPF  1.15.    If  a  2-­‐5/8”  bat  is  -­‐3,  it  must  be  BBCOR   certified  (stamped  on  the  bat).    The  bat  still  may  not  exceed  33”  in  length.    Wood  bats   may  not  exceed  2-­‐1/4”.     2-­‐3/4”  Big  Barrel  Bats  are  PROHIBITED  in  all  divisions  of  the  beat  the  Heat  Tournament
