As the result of the passage of a large bond measure SWA worked with Steinberg Architects to produce master plans for improvement of the three facilities of the Community College District - the College of San Mateo, Cañada College, and Skyline College. All of the master plans are developed around achieving three main strategies for that campus: to create a new campus core that is surrounded by numerous programs to accommodate student activities; to re-arrange vehicular circulation to the outer edge of the campus, reinforcing the pedestrian-oriented campus core; and to define a campus “entrance” and provide strong connections from parking to the heart of the campus.
