Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN ® SATA Drive Rack, Model 709002. Unlike traditional hard drive racks and docking kits, the MANHATTAN SATA Drive Rack with Dual SATA drives is specially designed to help easily transfer data and reduce drive damage. An internal arm mechanism ensures that the drive installation is precise and smooth to further help reduce damage and provide reliable operation. The aluminum case helps provide efficient cooling for safe operating temperatures for high-performance SATA drives. 3 Press the door latch/button and swing the door open to load/unload the hard drive.

1. Remove the covers 2 from two available adjacent drive bays. 2. Insert the drive rack; align the screw holes. 3. Secure the rack with the screws (below left). 4. Connect the SATA 15-pin power / 7-pin data cable to the back of the HDD; connect the opposite (4-pin) end of the power cable 4 to the PC’s 4-pin power outlet and the opposite (7-pin) end of the data cable to the PC’s motherboard or SATA RAID card.
Connect the LED cable to the LED access port.

1. Push the latch/button to open the door. 2. Insert the hard drive in the drive rack, label (printed) side up. CAUTION: The front panel door will not close firmly if the hard drive is inserted backwards. Damage can occur if the door is forced closed. Press the door shut until it locks in place.

ADDITIONAL NOTES OF CAUTION: • Install SATA port startup software before using the device. • If the inserted hard drive has application software, always turn the computer off before inserting/ejecting the hard drive. • Do not eject the hard drive while it is running, as damage to the drive or data loss could result. • When removing the hard drive from the drive rack, be careful that the bottom of the hard drive does not touch the metal housing inside the SATA drive rack. • The hard drive can heat up to as much as 50˚C (122˚F); though not hot enough to burn, the hard drive should still be held only on its edges. Avoid contact with the printed circuit board. • Don’t place foreign objects inside the drive rack. • Always keep the front panel door closed to prevent damage and dust accumulation. • The hard drive is a precision device: Handle with care.
