Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts can participate in a day filled with fun events and competition. A great time for the whole family to watch and cheer them on.

Attention Boy Scouts and Leaders! - In the spirit of Folk Hero Paul Bunyan, Gamehaven Scout Reservation is having a day of lumberjack competitions. Get a team together to compete in pioneering techniques; two man saw competition, and a log drag competition. More information to come on rules and regulations.
Food Concessions Additional events are still in the works to be added.
Pumpkin Chuck ’n Competition Build a catapult or trebuchet with your group to compete for the longest distance or most consistent throw. Cost is $25/team. Registration deadline is Friday, October 14. You will find rules and regulations on building your catapult at www.gamehavenbsa.org on the GSR calendar page.

We invite the public to come and see what fun Scouting can be and to enjoy the great outdoors.
Hey Boy Scouts! Did you know that if you have earned your Totin’ Chip, you could go further and earn the Paul Bunyan Woodsman during the Lumberjack-Pumpkin Chuck’n event?

To do so you need to: 1. 2. 3.
Show that you have earned the Totin’ Chip. Help a Scout or patrol earn the Totin’ Chip, and demonstrate to him (them)the value of proper woods With official approval and proper supervision, do one of the following: a. Clear trails or fire lanes for two hours b. Trim a downed tree, cut into four-foot lengths, and stack; make a brush with branches. c. Build a natural retaining wall or irrigation way to aid in a planned Conservation.
