Dear Mr. Karstetter, At its December 2017 meeting, the Accrediting Commission of the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) considered the institution’s non-compliance with financial reporting requirements enumerated in ACCET Document 37 – Policy on Financial Reporting and Financial Stability. The Commission observed that the institution failed to submit annual financial statements on June 30, 2016, for Fiscal Year 2015, and failed to submit annual financial statements for both Fiscal Year 2015 and 2016, as directed by ACCET staff, on June 30, 2017. In addition, the institution failed to pay late fees invoiced to the institution in accordance with the provisions of Document 27 for non-compliance with financial reporting requirements. Therefore, the Commission voted to issue an Institutional Show Cause (ISC) directive, requiring the institution to show cause why its accredited status should not be withdrawn. This action was based on the institution’s above-referenced continuing non-compliance with ACCET policy on financial reporting and financial stability and the institution’s non-responsiveness to follow-up on the part of ACCET staff regarding this non-compliance. Therefore, the Commission further directed the institution to submit an interim report as follows: The institution is directed to provide a narrative update, with supporting documentation, to demonstrate compliance with its annual reporting requirements in ACCET Document 37 – Policy on Financial Reporting and Financial Stability, including: (a) evidence that it has submitted annual financial statements for Fiscal Years 2015 and 2016 in full compliance with the documentation requirements detailed in Document 37; and (b) evidence that it has submitted all payments for late fees issued to the institution further to the policy provisions of Document 37 and fees found in ACCET Document 10 – Fee Schedule.

As a reminder, please be advised that late submission and receipt of documents and reports are subject to significant late fees in accordance with Commission policy. These fees are outlined in ACCET Document 10, which can be found at www.accet.org. Further, while under a Show Cause directive, the institution is restricted from making any substantive changes including, but not limited to, new programs, major program revisions, new branch campuses or other new sites, or relocations out of the general market area. Your demonstrated capabilities and commitment in support of the institution’s accredited status are essential to a favorable outcome in this process.
