SCAVENGER HUNT

Denver is a wonderful, beautiful city and we are excited to share some highlights with you via this Instagram photo scavenger hunt. Please use #ISCDENVER when you post pictures at each stop. Be creative, be silly, wander a bit and show everyone how YOU see Denver! If at any time you need directions or help in finding a location, send a tweet to @Elevate2014ISC and one of our ushers will help get you on your way! (Hint: Locations are also noted by number in the Downtown Denver Map provided in your packet.) 1. The first stop on your journey is close to “home.” The Big Blue Bear is excited to see what we have going on during the weekend of the ISC, find him and say hello! 2. G olden Domed Colorado State Capitol. With Big Blue to your back, turn right and wander 6 blocks (you will be heading southeast) until you come to Colfax Ave. Head east until you find a famous US President. Head up the steps on any side until a 5,280 feet seal you find. You are now officially one mile above sea level! 3. Next you get to see the second largest theater complex in the USA (second only to Lincoln Center in New York City.) Turn

around and go back the way you came. Follow Colfax Ave. west until you come to Speer Blvd. – at that point to the right you will veer. Two more blocks along this way and two large “Dancing Aliens” should appear into view. 4. Tick, tock, tick, tock….the next stop is The Daniel’s & Fisher Clocktower. Head one more block to Arapahoe St. (named after a Native American tribe). Take and right and go three blocks more. 5. You know the song “Give Me a Home Where The Buffalo Roam?” Go two blocks west and find buffalo of your own.

6. N ext is some of the finest shopping and dining in town — at Larimer Square head south from the buffalo and go one block down.

7. T o find this bridge, go back north to 16th St. Mall and find a free shuttle — hop on heading west until the end. Now Denver is landlocked, but that doesn’t mean we don’t dream of the beach or high seas. Your next stop will remind you of the mast of a great ship. This is the Millenium Bridge and connects Downtown Denver to neighborhoods on the west side of I-25. 8. Two blocks back the way you came is Denver’s newest gem – a modernized transportation hub – Union Station. Your task is to find the “Travel by Train” on the original building constructed in 1881. 9. Now that you’ve walked, “traveled by train” and seen our “ship,” it’s time to continue the fun! From your “train” stop, head back

to 16th St. and walk or catch the FREE shuttle three blocks to Blake St. (named for Charles Blake a businessman who came to the area in 1858). Head north three blocks and find the 1UP Bar and show us a pic of you enjoying a game of Pac Man with your friends. 10. Once you’re done enjoying the arcade game, head out and continue north on Blake St. and you will walk past Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. At 20th St. on the northeast side of the Blue Moon Brewery look for the neon figures “bringing you home” and to the end of your adventure! Once you have finished, you can head back to 16th St. Mall, grab the FREE shuttle to California St., and go back to the hotel to give your feet a rest! Thank you for playing and sharing your pictures along the way! We hope you enjoyed seeing Denver!
