Junior Ref/Scorer Online Training Question: Why Does my child have to keep score and line judge? USA Volleyball believes in teaching platers the entire game and that includes officiating. When they are not playing, players will develop leadership skills and knowledge of the fame when they assist in officiating. Prior to any competition, clubs are required to instruct their players on proper techniques in refereeing and scoring. Question: How do they learn to keep score, line judge, and referee? USA Volleyball and Badger Region provide a variety of options for players, coaches, and parents to learn how to officiate and keep score at events. USA Volleyball provides free, on-line training modules – follow the steps below: Follow these steps to complete the online lessons: [Bring your certificate[s] to practice and give to your coach once you complete the training] 1. http://badgervolleyball.org/ 2. Select Indoor/How to Keep Score/Officiate a. Required modules for scoring are: i. Scoring Basics, Non-deciding Set ii. Scoring Basics, Deciding Set iii. Scoring Sanctions iv. Libero Control b. Required modules for officiating are: i. Junior Second Referee Clinic ii. Junior Line Judge Clinic iii. Libero Rules iv. Net and Center Line Rules 3. 4. Select USA Volleyball Events/Region Clinics a. October, 2016, then you will see the training listed for October/November and select Badger Junior Scorer Training, Badger Junior Second Referee Training and Junior First Referee Training.

i. Select Register Now! To get the courses within your USAV Academy

b. Message box will come up with Registration Processed and sent to USVA Academy, when you are done Registering for those online courses you will login to USAV Academy to do your courses.

5. USAV Academy select My Account and the Training should be listed under the Learning Activities Section.
