Meeting aims To create a support network in which schools share ideas and effective practice, discuss issues surrounding the new English GCSEs and 2017 results. We aim to focus on practical solutions to common challenges and gain expert advice and guidance from examiners and other lead professionals.

11.00 – 12.30: Keynote speaker – Deborah Pearson – Head of English for AQA Feedback on key issues arising from 2017 results for GCSE English Language (and English Literature).

9.45-10.30: Practitioner input Short presentations from leading practitioners on exemplary practice that has led to consistent high performance.
10.30-10.45: 2017 Results Jon Lunn (DTSA Performance Specialist) to provide analysis of English results across Devon schools.
