See You at the Pole Please join us in prayer with other families and CCS staff at 8:00 am, Wednesday, September 27th. This is a time when we will pray for our school and the nation. CCS families, staff, and the community is encouraged to unite in prayer. We’re thrilled to announce that the CCS soccer team is now playing on the new home soccer field! The first game on the field took place on Tuesday, September 19th. Congratulations to the CCS team who claimed the victory! GO THUNDER!

Summer Reading Programs We want to congratulate all the students who participated in the Summer Reading Program. You all did a wonderful job! The class winners will be announced in the newsletter next week.

Cornerstone Christian School Drop-Off / Pick-Up! Please note the following plan for drop-off and pick-up of ALL CCS STUDENTS. Morning Drop-Off – Enter by the driveway via Hunter Road at the far end of the west parking lot (see map). Drive in a clockwise direction around the outer edge of the parking lot, around the building through the both sets of gates. (a) If you are dropping off your children, go through the second set of gates, steer to the right of the orange cones and pull forward as far as possible along the curb at the Hess Hall (gym) entrance. Please do not pull ahead of other cars, but stay in line until the car ahead of you pulls away. Continue forward until you exit the lot by the driveway at the school sign (again see map). (b) If you are planning to park and bring your children into the building, go through the second set of gates, steer to the left, park, and enter the building at the gym entrance. Please keep your children close to you and hold young children’s hands at all times in the parking lot. Afternoon Pick-Up - Please enter the Hunter Road driveway at the far end of the west parking lot and follow the same clockwise pattern until you reach the second set of gates, steer to the right or left depending on whether you are waiting in the pick-up line or entering the building. Much in the same manner as we did last year, students will be waiting inside the building with their teachers until your car pulls up outside the gym door entrance. Mrs. Nettleingham will then have your child / children come outside and enter your car. Please have your family name card placed in the passenger side front window to help speed up the process. Please Note: Should you prefer not to wait in line but enter the building, your child will be waiting with his/her teacher in the gym. Please enter the gym and wait behind the yellow line. The students will raise their hands when they see their parent, and the teacher will then dismiss students to their parent. Again, for the safety of all our students, please keep a close watch on your children and do not allow them to enter the parking lot unless they are under your close supervision. As in previous years, between 8:45 am and 3:15 pm the school gates will be closed and doors locked. Should you need to visit the school during those times, you will need to enter via the Hilton Road entrance, park outside Hess Hall and press the buzzer for entry to the building. Preschool Parents: If you arrive before 8:45am or after 3:15pm, please enter from Hunter Rd. If you arrive between 8:45am and 3:15pm, please enter from Hilton Rd., as the gates will be closed. Always park in the east lot and enter the school from the east Hess Hall doors. Thank you!
