Prayer Reminders Pray for Pastor Dan and our Czech Team of 17 students and adults as they are in the Czech Republic, July 18— August 1. They are hosting two camps—a Family Camp for parents and children, and an English Camp for students. Pray for Pastor Dan and the team to experience the power and leading of God’s Spirit as they minister in the city of Vsetin. Congratulations to Caitlin Patten and Cole Buchholz who were married yesterday in Okoboji! May God pour out His blessings on this couple. Praise the Lord for our Kids For Christ ministry held last week! Over 130 kids came to our Super Summer Sports SPLASHtacular. Pray for the kids & their families to learn from the Bible stories they heard and to experience the love of Christ.

Pray for our GAPs (Groups for All People) as we seek to make disciples this summer in an intentionally cross-cultural context. Ask the Lord to guide us as we pursue the possibility of planting a new multi-ethnic church plant in Storm Lake with Hope EFC. Pray for Al Pedersen, Becky Coyle, Barb Pewsey, Don Fisher, and others in need of God’s healing touch, including many friends & loved ones of the Summit Church family. Contact [email protected] to share a prayer request or receive daily prayer and news updates via email. Printed copies are also available each Sunday in the Atrium.

FAMILY FAITH TALK During the week, seek to talk together about the people God used in 1 Kings 17:17-24. The questions progress from targeting younger children (#s 1 & 2) to targeting teens (#s 5 & 6). 1. What did Elijah do when he found out the bad news about the boy? 2. Whose power gave the boy his life back? 3. How did Elijah feel when the woman blamed her son’s death on Elijah? 4. When you have a difficult situation, what should you do? 5. What character traits did Elijah show during this difficult time? 6. What made it possible for Elijah to have this response? How can you emulate Elijah?
