Senior Civil Structural Engineer IDEOL is looking for a senior civil structural engineer to join the company’s engineering team in La Ciotat close to Marseille/Aix-en-Provence in France. Company description : IDEOL is a company specialised in the design and installation of innovative foundations for the offshore wind industry, founded out of an extensive background in renewable energies and in the oil and gas offshore industry. IDEOL has developed a new family of floating foundations based on the Damping Pool® system aiming at transforming the potential of offshore wind by unlocking the current water depth constraints inherent to bottom-fixed foundations. IDEOL is currently implementing its solution on a first 2MW demonstrator and on different 30 MW pilot farm prospects on which co-development agreements have been signed with utilities. The main markets include Europe, Japan and the United States. Offshore wind is an emerging market with a strong and fast growth. Job description: In the context of the design, construction and installation of IDEOL’s projects, the main responsibilities of the structural engineer will be to:  Lead the design of the structure of the floating foundation or other structures ;  Manage a project structural design team;  Manage interfaces with builders, turbine makers, class, etc. in relation to design aspects ;  Verify subcontracted work and the compliance of construction with specifications ;  Define with other disciplines design methods for the concrete hull and other components;  Lead the local and global verification of the structure ;  Contribute to the design, optimisation, analysis and evaluation of design alternatives;  Support the preparation of planning, commercial offers, and ensure a good communication with the other disciplines. Profile:  5 to 10 year-experienced civil structural engineer, ideally with knowledge of offshore / marine works ;  Proficient in complex pre-stressed reinforced concrete structures design and verification;  Good command of complex finite element analysis – proficient in at least one code NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, Robot, Advance or other ;  Experience of managing technical teams ;  Comfortable in written communication and reporting ;  Comfortable to work in multi-culture, multi-industry environment ;  Fluent English.
