I hope that this year will be a very successful one for Stannington First School—the staff have been very busy during the holidays preparing the classrooms for the start of term. Please contact your child’s teacher if you are worried about anything or have any concerns that you wish to discuss. Kind regards Mrs H Stokoe Head Teacher I am pleased to welcome Miss Leybourne to the staff, I hope that she will be very happy here. Please can you help the teachers by ensuring that all school uniform is clearly named and that your child knows where their name is on the clothing. All children will take part in Forest School and PE every week and their kits will need to be in school all the times.
Baby Bolam I am delighted to let you know that baby Elliott Bolam was born this morning—mum and baby are very well.

Towards the end of last term, hairbands and hair tie-backs were becoming very elaborate. Hair bands for school need to be plain and strong.
Water bottles Please provide your child with a water bottle, clearly marked with their name. Please wash and refill them daily (Early Years do not need to do this).
Wrap-around care Our wrap-around care is available before school from 7.30am and after school until 6pm. Booking forms are available from the club or the school office and payments must be made in advance.
