Vote to purchase 40x8 foot Storage Container approx. $2000 – Vote passed. Vote to purchase to field maintenance equipment – approx. $1200 – Vote passed.

Contact Laura if you have a questions Committees – Jim Joels Jim pointed out the importance of parent involvement with committees. With parent participation in committees we accomplish a great deal and have a lot of fun too. Committee Update Field Maintenance – Andy Rich October 15 & 16 – JV/Varsity Fields A commitment of 2 hours per player is requested. This is a great bonding experience We need both parents and players to participate Online Sign up will be sent out A list of Equipment/tool needed will be sent out RAR (Rent A Raider) – Cindy Kanter Advertising Chairperson needed - This person will work have articles on RAR printed in Beacon or the Patch and other local papers. Parent Permission Slip forms on website. All players are asked to participate. Great experience for the boys. Players are asked to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours. Minimum of 2 players assigned to all jobs. Cindy will assign at least 1 older player with freshman. Jobs will be in October through December Currently $1900 jobs booked and have an additional $1300 An email when out to all prior clients Pancake Breakfast – Howard Kanter This event is always a big success and a lot of fun. It is our biggest fundraiser. It has been successful in the past because we have every player and parent to helps out on the day of the event. We need parents to help with the Pancake Breakfast planning. Anyone who’s interested please reach out to Howard Kanter
[email protected] Sub-committee Positions needed o Municipal Building Coordinator (need a volunteer) – Handles municipal building logistics pre-, during, and post-event (schedules room for monthly committee meetings and for the event)

Event Advertising Coordinator (need a volunteer) – Handles print production of the flyer, advertising of event through print and social media, contacts the Beacon and Patch, coordinates with HBL webmaster Food Donation Coordinator (need at least one volunteer) – Solicits local businesses to donate food and loan equipment and coordinates logistics with pick up volunteers (Need a few people). Mainly involves going back to previous supporters and gaining their commitment for 2017 Parent Volunteer Coordinator (need a volunteer) – Handles scheduling by putting up a Google Doc for parent volunteers to sign up prior to the event and manages the parent volunteers during set up and take down during the event Kitchen Coordinator (Rita Joels is the lead but we need an assistant to learn and take over next year) – Manages all aspects of the kitchen prior to and during the event, ensuring there’s a steady flow of hot food items to the serving stations
Pie Sale - Illyse Tynan and Gloria Lagerman Information sent out soon. Order forms due back first week November. Same pies as last year. All pies are frozen. Pies from Griggstown Farms be delivered Illyse Tynan’s home week before Thanksgiving. They must be picked on the delivery pick up date. Parents will pick up the ice cream pies directly from Super Sundaes. Apparel – Kelly Jackson and Pete Screbo Information on Fall sale will be out soon Sponsorship – Chairpersons Needed It is important we find 1 or 2 people to take this over. Sponsors brings in about a $7000. Sue Watson has been the committee chair for the last 3 years. Her son is now a senior and she will work the person who volunteers to take over this position. We have already established relationships several businesses in town. We need someone to reach out to these business to renew the sponsorship If anyone has contacts to for new sponsorships, please let us know. Parents are asked to check with their companies to see if they can sponsor us. If anyone donates to the United Way through their employer that money can be directed to the Diamond Club. If you have questions reach out to Jen Watson. Away Game Sub Delivery – Helena Beck In the Spring we will need parent from each team to pick the subs and bring them to the game. If you are interested, please contact Helena. End of Season Banquet - Chairpersons Needed Planning for this event will be in the Spring Coach’s Corner – Coach Eden All the Fundraising goes towards equipment and extras to make it the best experience possible for the boys. Coach expressed apperception for all the parent and player volunteers. As a result of all the work put the Diamond Club has put into the Varsity Field, it was ranked 8th in the state for HS Varsity fields. We will again be participating in the Autism Awareness in New Brunswick for the third year. It will be on a Sunday in April. The boys will be given a T-Shirt to wear on Friday and to the game. In the process of scheduling Varsity and JV scrimmages at Diamond Nation. Freshman will have some their preseason practices/evaluations at Diamond Nation as well.
