Quilt For A Cure Day September 30, 2017 $25.00
Join us for our annual fundraiser for breast cancer research. The 20th year!!! Our day includes: a fabric swap, a mystery quilt, a Silent Auction, a live Block Auction, door prizes, entertainment, food, and fun! We’ll also have some 20th anniversary specials! 100% of the proceeds from registrations, the Silent Auction and the Block Auction are all donated. Come for part of the day or stay the whole day! Advance registration requested but not required. Day’s Schedule 10-10:30 Check-In (Refreshments are welcomed!) 10:30 Welcoming Remarks, Fabric Swap Distribution and Mystery Quilt Project revealed. 11:00 Entertainment 12:00 Silent Auction Ends 12:00-1:00 Break and Silent Auction Results 1:00 – 3:30 Block Auction 3:30 – 5:00 Socializing and shopping!! Class Policies:
Sign ups will begin on August 12 at 10 am You may only sign up two people for each class/event (i.e. yourself & a friend) Class fee must be paid at time of registration. Telephone registrations will be held for one week. Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation. Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting “oops” and you need more fabric!) 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO REFUNDS. If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time. If you like a class, but cannot make the time it is scheduled, please call to put your name on a waiting list specifying different date.
Saturday Classes Under The Tree— A tree skirt is a quick and easy way to add to the holiday festivities. This pattern gives you two sizes to choose from—a small tree skirt (29”) for a table top tree and a full sized tree skirt (47”) to use under the traditional big tree! Or don’t cut them and use them instead as a table topper! Pattern purchase and rotary cutting experience required. Sept 2 & 9 10-1 with Mindy $25.00 Warm Winter Blessings– Create a whimsical wall hanging by going block by block. You will have it done by the time the snow starts to fly! Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and achieving a 1/4 inch seam. Pattern Party! Tuesday, September 5, 2017 Two Times: 3-5pm or 6:30-8:30pm Join Kevin from Checker Distributors, our major pattern supplier, to see all the patterns available and choose the ones you want! Valerie tries very hard to choose patterns she thinks you might like to have in the store…..but there’s sooooo many!! Kevin will have many samples to show you, we’ll do some door prizes, and there may be a few other surprises!! Cost is $5.00. You’ll pay for half your order that day and the other half when the patterns arrive. Limited space available. Sign ups begin August 12.
