How should we use the Scriptures? In our study of Truth and in our daily application of it we should choose from the Scriptures.what we recognize as constructive and helpful in our daily living. Through study, reading, prayer, and meditation we learn to recognize the eternal truths presented in the scriptures that help us to understand and keep the divine law. In the text for today what example do we have of Jesus making a constructive use of the Scriptures? In the passage from Psalms 8:2 a constructive statement is followed by a negative one as part of the same thought. In quoting the passage Jesus omitted the negative statement and gave a free rendering of the part H e auored.
