Having a heart for the church throughout the world Dear friends, We are blessed this morning to have Baroness Caroline Cox with us to share about an important relief and development project in Cameroon and to talk about the effects of persecution and war on Christian communities around the globe. We will not only listen and learn. We will pray. Who knows how God might touch our hearts to deeper prayer and deeper giving! At Messiah, our vision statement is “Building a prayerful, Bible-teaching evangelical church in the heart of the city with a heart for the city and the world.” The Lord has led many to leave Messiah to serve as missionaries. We also have close ties with others. Below is a brief Prayer Guide for you to use today and throughout the week. 1. Please pray for Baroness Caroline Cox and her humanitarian work and advocacy! 2. Please pray for the work of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund, Canada Please remember to pray for the Diocese of Cameroon and the funding needed to build a full-service health clinic in Douala, Cameroon. 3. Please pray for Jeremy and Kendra and their children. They left Messiah to work with Operation Mobilization in Zambia. 4. Please pray for P*** and J*** and kids. They left Messiah to work in C*ntr*l *s** with Interserve and the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. 5. Please pray for B****. He left Messiah to work in *s**. He is seconded to Wycliffe Associates. 6. Please pray for Steve and Stella. They left Messiah and now serve in Nigeria and other places in Africa. 7. Please pray for Paul. He left Messiah and has been working in the Middle East with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). He is back in Canada reconnecting with church, family and friends. He hopes to return to the Middle East in early 2018. 8. Please pray for Emily. She has left Messiah to work with YWAM. She is doing some training in New Zealand before moving to another country - maybe India. 9. Please pray for Norm and Audrey. They left our sister ANiC church in Ottawa to work in Angola with SIM. 10. Please pray for: Aaron E in Jerusalem with CMJ; Diane in London with Pioneers; and Kwagala Ministries in Uganda - all missionaries with ties to Messiah. Pray for Messiah, that we will be blessed by God to be a church which is shaped by the Gospel - and to give and send. George +
