San Joaquin Valley Omnium September 8&9, 2012 USAC Permit 2012-2984 Onmium Rules: o Entrance into the Yohkol Valley TT, Exeter or the Selma Criteriums automatically enters you into the Omnium o Prize lists for each omnium category is $200 cash and goes 5 deep except for 5’s, 35+ 5’s, 45+ 5’s as per USAC rules. o Individual events prize list is a mix of cash and merchandise. Must be present to collect prizes. o Must race Selma Criterium and be present to collect omnium prizes. o Omnium placings are based on accumulated points. Time Trial points range from 25 points for 1st down to 1 point for 25th place in 1 point increments and 1 point thereafter. Criteriums points range from 20 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 20th place in 1 point increments and 1 point thereafter. o Categories: 5’s, 35+ 5’s, 45+ 5’s, 4’s, 35+ 4’s, 45+ 4’s, Master 35+ 1/2/3, Master 45+ 1/2/3, 3’s W4, W3, W pro/1/2, & P/1/2’s. o Run under USAC permit & rules. No prizes for Elite 5 only events. Helmets are mandatory at all times when riding. o Late fee for criteriums is $10. Late fee for time trial is $15. o Second races at criteriums are $10. Yokohl Valley Individual Time Trial Event 1 of the San Joaquin Valley Omnium Course: Start-Finish on Yokohl Valley Road (approx. 1,000’ east of the “Y”). A 5.4 mile out and 5.4 mile back course. 10.8 miles total. 330 foot elevation gain. Road surface varies from excellent to very good. Parking: Road 228 and Yokohl Valley Road. North and south only, NO parking on the course what so ever. No warm-ups on course whatsoever. Directions: Google earth @ 36 17’ 11” N., 119 03’ 49” W., to the start intersection. From 99, take Hwy. 198 approx. 19 miles east to Yokohl Valley Road &. 198. Turn south and proceed 3 miles to the parking and registration area. Individual Time Trial (ITT) start time: 8:00am. (Start times subject to change) ITT order of categories: E5, Master 35-5, Master 45-5, W4, W3, W1/2, E4, Master 35-4, Master 45-4,Master 35-1-2-3, Master 45-1-2-3, E3, Pro/1/2. Note: Limit per category is 50 riders. Some categories will be expanded as slots are available. Prizes: Podium presentation will be at the Exeter Criterium approximately 30 minutes after the end of the respective criterium events.
