New Year / New You 2 Corinthians 5:17
January 5 & 7, 2018
Introduction: About 2018 years ago, a man named Saul was living a successful life “under the sun.” His discipline, education, and background gave him confidence as he lived in the flesh and enjoyed what this world offered. However, Saul encountered the person of Jesus. As he lived by faith in Jesus, God set him free from life under the sun in order to live a life of significance as Paul. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 Survey: Who is Jesus to you? ______________________________________________ As this New Year begins, we are invited to live F-R-E-E: F - Forgiven - Debts Canceled For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 R
