Service note ACH550 recommended spare part packages
ABB has taken the guess work out of ordering spare parts with the creation of ACH550 spare part packages.
Overview To simplify spare part selection for bid and spec opportunities or project quotes, ABB has created several ACH550 spare part packages. Spare part packages have been pre-defined and assembled by ABB and contain the recommended selection of spare parts the customer should hold. Currently, spare part packages are available for all ACH550-UH, BCR, BDR, VCR, & VDR drive types. Packaged under a single part number, the spare part packages offer a 15% discount over purchasing all spare parts individually. To assist in the selection of spare part packages, partners are able to configure the package they need using the product configurator portal. This feature allows the option of configuring the packages you need when configuring the drives you need. The product configurator portal will not only configure the appropriate package part number, but will also provide a recommended quantity of packages based on the number of drives configured. The quantity of packages required is not based on a one to one ratio therefore typically fewer packages will be required than the number of drives configured. Spare part packages can be ordered online via cBOL ensuring quick and easy ordering. Lead times for the ACH550 spare part kits is typically 4 weeks.

To configure the appropriate spare part packages the following steps will need to be done: 1. After logging into the portal choose the AC Drives category 2. The type of ACH550 drive(s) you have or would like to order must be configured (see graphic below) 3. Add the configured drive to your quote, repeat this step until all drives needed have been configured and added to the existing quote 4. Save your quote and then click Add Item located in the tool bar at the top of the page 5. Once back to the AC Drives page you can hit the configure button for the spare part kits recommendation (see graphic below)
6. The configurator will populate with the recommended number of part kits for the drives that have been configured and can also be added to the quote 7. Generate your quote Notes: * The package quantities identified by the configurator are editable * When a drive type is deleted or a drive quantity modified the spare package configuration, if existing on the quote, should be deleted and re-run * Once the generate quote option has been clicked the quote can no longer be edited, a new revision will have to be made.
