Setting Exam Grade Scales Exam Managers (EMs) have the ability to set and change the grade scale for each exam they have access to. 1.
Click the ‘Exams’ Tab. 11. To create an additional letter grade, click the ‘Add’ icon. A new row will appear with empty boxes to complete.

Select the exam from the available list. 12. After making the grade scale changes, you may save the altered grade scale for use on other exams. To do so, click the ‘Set My Default’ button. 13. You will receive a confirmation message asking if you want to make the current grade scale your default. When the value is applied, the percentages will be proportionally applied to the total points available on the exam. Click ‘Ok’ to accept.

The information on this Exam Posting will appear. 14. The next time you visit the ‘Grade Scales’ Tab for any other exam, you can click the ‘My Default’ button to apply your specific grade scale.

Click the ‘Grade Scales’ Tab.

The System Default grade scale will be set for the exam with the letter grades ranging from A+ to F with corresponding Minimum Points and Exam Percent Scores.

To alter the attributes for any given letter grade, click the ‘Edit’ pencil icon.

16. To revert back to the default grade scale, click the ‘System Default’ button. 17. You will receive a confirmation message asking if you want to switch to the System Default which will recalculate the grade scale using the percentages assigned in the system default grading scale. Click ‘OK’ to accept.
After selecting the ‘Edit’ icon, the entire row will change to editable boxes. When changing either the Min. Points or Percent Score, the other columns will also change respectively.

15. You will receive a confirmation message asking if you want to switch to your My Default grade scale as this will recalculate the percentages using the settings you saved in your default grading scale. Click ‘OK’ to accept.
To remove a letter grade, click the ‘Delete’ icon. A confirmation message will appear asking if you want to delete this letter grade.
10. Click ‘OK’ to delete the grade.

18. All exam scores will be displayed in the on-screen graph which can be altered using the scoring increments box and then clicking ‘Update Graph’.
