Setting up Multifactor Authentication for Apple Devices Open the Apple Store app on your device and search for Microsoft Authenticator. The icon will be a blue box with a white lock inside. Select “Get” to download and install.

Once you have download the app on your phone you can now set up MFA using the following steps: 1. On your Workstation open a web browser, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer will work, and navigate to the web site portal.office.com 2. Enter your email address and password. 3. The following message will appear.

4. 5. After the installation is complete, it will prompt you to allow notifications. You must select “Allow”.

Select “Set it up now”.

An additional security verification screen will open. Click on the down arrow and select “Mobile App”.

Select “Receive notifications for verification”. Click “Set up” to view the QR code.

A “Configure mobile app” box will appear.

10. Select “Work or school account”.

11. Your phone may ask to allow Authenticator to access the camera, if this pops up “OK” must be selected.

Leave this window open and switch over to the Multifactor Authentication App you just downloaded on your phone.

Bypass the Microsoft product information screens by either selecting “Skip” or by swiping right twice with your finger. When you are displaying the Accounts screen, tap on the “+” symbol.

12. Now point your phone camera at the QR code box from the Office 365 website that was left open and it will automatically configure your phone. 13. On the QR code page select “Next”. Then select “Next” again to make sure notifications are working.

18. You may configure an authentication phone number or backup email address to verify your identity in case you forget your password. Select “Verify” at the Authentication phone option.

14. You will receive a pop up notification on your phone. Select “Approve”.

15. On the following screen enter you region and mobile phone number and select “Done”. 19. Verify the phone number and select your preference to either “text me” or “call me” to verify.

16. On the following screen select “Done”.

20. Enter the provided code from the text or phone call and select “Verify”. 17. If prompted to do so, verify your additional security verification by selecting “Next”.

Your Multifactor Authentication is now setup.
